This Sunday, many Hollywood stars arrived at Leicester Square in London to present to the audience a game remake of The Lion King. Although the American premiere of the film was remembered by an abundance of celebrities, the European one was able to please the fans by the appearance on the red carpet Megan Markl and Prince Harry.
Last week, Buckingham Palace officially announced that the Dukes of Sussex would honor the creators and stars of the Lion King. For Megan, this premiere was the first since she joined the royal family. She came out on a red carpet in a black dress by Jason Wu and completed her image with a Gucci clutch and Aquazzura shoes. Their appearance with Harry pleased not only the audience, but also the cast of the film. Markle exchanged arms with Beyoncé and Jay Z and talked a little with them.
Also at the London premiere appeared Elton John, Vin Diesel, the star of "Game of Thrones" Natalie Emmanuel, Farell Williams, Seth Rogen and director John Favreau.
"The Lion King" will be released on Russian screens on July 18, while in the meantime critics and some viewers already shared their first impressions of the remake and split into two camps. Some argue that the picture deserves attention, and new scenes make the plot more complete. Others complain about the retelling of the cartoon and hyper-realistic animals, which, instead of emotion and nostalgia, cause unpleasant emotions.
